Provided By: Gregory Gay, Chicagogospel.com, gregory@chicagogospel.comAt the close of the 26th Annual Chicago Gospel Music Festival at Millenium Park, Pam Morris “the Gospel Sister” was presented with an Appreciation Award for twenty years of service in the Mayor's Office of Special Events. Pam was responsible for overseeing the Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. interfaith breakfast as well as serving as coordinator for the annual Gospel Music Festival, the largest free gospel music festival in the world. The honors keep coming as Pam will receive the N'Religon Award courtesy of the N'Digo Foundation at their annual gala event held at Chicago Symphony Center on June 27th.
The Chicago Gospel Music Festival brought some of the genre’s biggest stars to Millenium Park this year including Richard Smallwood and Vision, Bishop Hezekiah Walker and LFCC, Fred Hammond, and Kathy Taylor. Chicago was well represented with performances from the legendary Caravans, Ricky Dillard and New G, Kenny Lewis and One Voice, as well as Verizon’s How Sweet The Sound regional winner, Pastor Ray Allen Berryhill and the Evangel Celebration Choir.
